Book Description
Zoe fainted on her wedding day, and she never knew why. She’s always felt sure something bad happened. Ten years later, she’s going to find out what…
It was supposed to be the happiest day of her life. Zoe was sitting in her hotel room, in her perfect white dress, looking forward to the moment when she would make kind, handsome Toby her husband.
Then, there was a blank.
They said she must have fainted, overcome with emotion. But nothing felt quite right afterwards. Did something happen in that missing time?
Now, Toby and Zoe have two beautiful children and a perfect life. They’re planning their ten-year anniversary party for their family and friends. The invitations have been sent, the food ordered. They’re going back to the grand hotel where they got married.
But as the anniversary gets closer, it becomes clear not everyone is looking forward to celebrating. Zoe catches Toby lying about where he’s been. One of her best friends seems to be ignoring her. And someone is spreading stories that might stop the party from happening at all.
Zoe is increasingly sure that she doesn’t have the full story. But does she want to know the truth, if it will destroy everything?

Review
Zoe had a perfect life; a loving husband, two healthy kids, a job she loved, and a little cottage.
The only regret she had was not being able to have thoroughly enjoyed her wedding day ten years ago. She fainted and crashed her head. Her mind was confused and blurry during the whole ceremony.
To recapture that moment, this time with a clean head, Zoe and her husband Toby decided to throw a 10th-anniversary party at the same hotel.
But as the party approaches, things start to get strange. Relatives and friends begin to behave weirdly around Zoe, and she has difficulties in determining who she can trust.

The story is exciting, and I was hooked from the first page. Zoe’s well-ordered life started crumbling down, and I kept turning the pages, both wishing and dreading to find out what was really going on.
I enjoyed the wide range of characters. While Zole was compassionate and family-oriented, Toby was loving but insecure. The same happened to the side characters: Toby’s strong-minded mom and weak brother, Zoe’s grief-stricken dad and rebellious sister.
I don’t read many psychological thrillers, but I’m looking forward to reading more books like this one. It is not overly bloody, and it has the right dose of suspense.
An intriguing and entertaining read. Highly recommended!
